A site in a language I can't read (Dutch?) has a gallery of some really kickass pictures of scary huge scientific machinery. I honestly don't know how much of it is real, but it's cool.

Last night I had a nightmare that my Ubuntu machines were hacked. it was very, very disturbing, and I was super relieved when I woke up and realized it was a dream. Damn I'm a nerd.
Nothing would make me happier than for this to be posted far and wide.
I decided to not be all self-deprecating as I usually am with things like this, and admit that I'm really happy and proud to say that I was interviewed by Cal Evans for the Zend Developer Zone.
I guess the first question that comes to my mind is “Why did you build this?”
I built it because there was no good way to audit the security settings in your PHP.INI or your PHP environment. The average PHP user I feel is someone who can use an installer to install scripts on their server, get them running and do a little customization or hack up some code but they are not educated developers. These users have no easy way to check how secure their environment is. So I wrote PHPSecInfo to give these uses something easy to run and present the information in a format they are already familiar with.
I am watching LA Women's Roller Derby on HDNet, and it is good.

Emily Davis, 17, of Bowling Green told investigators she took her bra off while her friend was driving on Interstate 75.
A vehicle following the car crashed and rolled several times after swerving to avoid the bra. The driver, James Campbell, 37, broke a vertebra in his neck, and his passenger, Jeff Long, 40, broke several ribs.
